Early Disruption Warning to Customers
Present weather forecasts indicate the possibility of disruption to our services from Saturday 24th October through Thursday 29th October.
More detailed updates will follow daily as forecasts are updated.

 

For those travelling to and from Scrabster – Resurfacing work on the A9 near Spittal – work will be commencing on Tuesday 6th October and end on the evening of Friday 30th October. No work will take place on Saturday or Sunday. A convoy system will be in operation over these dates, which may affect your journey time. Please plan your journey accordingly to adhere to our check-in times.

 

Please be aware of traffic delays due to roadworks on approach to Aberdeen City centre.

There will be roadworks starting in the Great Southern Road Broomhill area from 6th July.

Please look for alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion and ensure you allow plenty of time to arrive for check-in.

Check-in opens 120 minutes prior to departure at Aberdeen and Lerwick and 90 minutes prior to departure at Hatston, Stromness and Scrabster.

Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure at all ports and if you have not checked in at least 30 minutes prior to departure you will not be allowed on board.

Car drivers are recommended to check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

Pentland Firth Arrivals and Departures

M.V Hamnavoe

  • Departed Stromness at 10:44 sailing for Scrabster
  • Scheduled arrival time in Scrabster is 12:30
  • Next scheduled sailing will depart Scrabster at 13:15 sailing for Stromness
  • Passenger and vehicle check in opens at 11:45
  • Passenger and vehicle check in closes at 12:45

  • Due to forecasted weather conditions all AM sailings are currently under review with the possibility of a later departure.
  • All PM sailings are expected to operate to the scheduled timetable.

  • Due to forecast adverse weather conditions, all sailings are currently under review.

Aberdeen Arrivals and Departures

M.V Hjaltland

  • M.V Hjaltland arrived in Aberdeen at 06:58 and is scheduled to depart at 17:00 sailing for Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) and Lerwick.
  • Passenger and car Check-in opens at 15:00.
  • Final Passenger and car check-in is 16:30.
  • Car drivers are recommended to check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

  • Due to forecasted adverse weather conditions departure from Aberdeen may be subject to weather related delays.
  • Arrival in Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) and Lerwick will depend on the actual departure time from Aberdeen, however if departure is 17:00 there will be delays of up to 2 hours arriving in Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) and Lerwick on Sunday 25th October.

Sunday 25th October

  • M.V Hrossey was scheduled to depart Aberdeen sailing for Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) and Lerwick at 17:00.
  • Due to forecasted adverse weather conditions this sailing is now cancelled.

Monday 26th October

  • M.V Hrossey was scheduled to depart Aberdeen sailing for Lerwick at 19:00.
  • This sailing will be rescheduled to sail Aberdeen – Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) – Lerwick at 17:00 to provide northbound resilience due to previous cancellations.  

Tuesday 27th October

  • M.V Hjaltland is scheduled to depart Aberdeen sailing for Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) and Lerwick at 17:00.
  • Due to forecasted adverse weather conditions, this sailing is now under review.
  • An update will follow tomorrow morning.
Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) Arrivals and Departures

MV HJALTLAND

  • The next scheduled departure from Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) is the 23:45 sailing to Lerwick.
  • Passenger and vehicle check-in opens at 22:15.
  • Final passenger and vehicle check-in time is 23:15.

  • Due to the adverse weather forecast, this sailing has been cancelled.

Monday 26th October

  • MV Hjaltland was scheduled to depart at 17:30 sailing for Kirkwall and Aberdeen.
  • Due to the adverse weather forecast, this sailing will now depart at 16:00
  • Check in times will be confirmed on Sunday.
  • Arrival in Kirkwall is expected to be 22:00
  • Arrival in Aberdeen is expected to be on schedule at 07:00 on Tuesday.

Tuesday 27th October
