Thursday 6th February 2020
Serco NorthLink Ferries welcomed pupils from Stromness Academy to the terminal for a tour of the M.V Hamnavoe as part of their 3rd year Careers Week. They also had a chance to listen to staff talk about the opportunities in hospitality, customer service, engineering, and marketing that exist within a large company. Pictured are one of 5 groups that took the tour.

Serco NorthLink Ferries were attending The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow on stand P436 from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th February 2020. The team were on hand to answer any questions about travelling to Orkney and Shetland and ran a competition to win a journey to the beautiful Northern Isles.

A huge well done and congratulations to the Kirkwall Grammar School Senior Netball team who won their game against Notre Dame High school last week 63-43. Kasia Thorp, Purser on MV Hjaltland took this fantastic picture of the view from ship as she passed under the Forth Bridge, the Forth Road Bridge and the Queensferry Crossing during her recent sailing back from dry Dock in Rosyth.

As part of Cyber Scotland Week 2020, Serco NorthLink Ferries hosted a Cyber Crime awareness briefing on board the MV Hamnavoe presented by Police Scotland today. NorthLink Ferries staff attended, and members of the public were also welcomed on board.

NorthLink Ferries are now stocking delicious Wholesums whole veg popped chips on board our vessels, a healthy vegan alternative to traditional crisps. Wholesums are air popped chips from Mackie’s at Taypack in Perthshire, which use every last bit of carrot, pea and potato in the process, creating a crunchy veggie snack that only contains 6% Fat, with plenty of fibre and tons of taste.

A team from Serco NorthLink Ferries were at the Scottish Cycling, Running and Outdoor Pursuits Show at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow from 29th February to 1st March 2020. As the first of its kind, SCROPS was an interactive, informative, and inspiring event for the whole family.
