Aberdeen Families Called to Compete in TV-inspired Competition
Monday 16th May 2016
NorthLink Ferries is reviving a cult 1990s television programme by offering Aberdonians the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to Shetland.
The ferry operator has launched the ‘Don’t Forget Your Suitcase’ campaign, inspired by Chris Evan’s infamous hit show, which is set to offer people living across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire the opportunity to travel to Shetland this Friday (20 May 2016).
Taking the same form as the once popular Channel 4 ‘Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush’, the competition hosted by NorthLink Ferries and local radio station Original 106 FM will see four finalists make their way to the Aberdeen Ferry Terminal where one family will win a trip to Shetland that night.
Speaking of the competition, Stuart Garrett, Managing Director at NorthLink Ferries, said: “We are delighted to bring this competition to Aberdeen and offer one lucky family the chance to win an all-inclusive trip to Shetland.
“The four finalists will need to be packed and ready to leave for Shetland, with a winner selected just before we disembark for Lerwick.
“I look forward to welcoming the finalists to our terminal and offering our famous Northern Isles hospitality to our chosen winners on board as they begin a journey of a lifetime.”
Winners of the ‘Don’t Forget Your Suitcase’ competition are set to travel overnight from Aberdeen to Shetland on Friday 20 May before enjoying a weekend in Lerwick at the Queen’s Hotel. The family of four will also experience local wildlife with Shetland Seabird Tours and discover Sumburgh Head Lighthouse.
For a chance to win this great prize, tune into Original 106 this weekend.
