Recipients - ShetlandNorthLink Ferries Sponsorship
The NorthLink Ferries sponsorship programme is designed to support individuals, charities, community groups and athletes travelling to and from Orkney and Shetland with discounted fares, or travel vouchers for fundraising.
From the commencement of NorthLink’s services to and from Orkney and Shetland, the company has been keen to use the ships and the opportunity for travel that 
they provide, to support a wide range of events, community groups and individuals as they travel to and from the islands. Or the offer of travel vouchers for clubs, charities and organisations to use as fund-raising raffle prizes and the like. However, NorthLink do not offer cash sponsorship.
Given the high volume of sponsorship requests received, there is a structured system in place by where there are two tranche periods where the company accepts applications for sponsorship to be considered. An application form must be requested from the company and returned by the closing date indicated.
The tranche dates are 1 April to 30 September, with applications being received until mid March, and 1 October to 31 March, 
with applications being received until mid September. Therefore we advise you to look ahead to your travel and raffle requirements to include in your application.

Next tranche covers the period 1st October 2010 to 31st March 2011. Closing date for applications has now been extended to Friday 10th September 2010.
