The ships
Whether you are travelling on business, holiday or a short break, you’ll be able to relax on board one of our three vessels.
- Two 125 metre passenger / ro-ro sister ships, MV Hrossey and MV Hjaltland, operate between Aberdeen, Orkney (on specific days of the week) and Shetland.
- The Pentland Firth vessel, MV Hamnavoe, is slightly smaller (112 metre passenger / ro-ro) and operates between Scrabster in Caithness and Stromness in Orkney.
- Each of the three vessels has the capacity to carry 600 passengers plus cars and freight.
- All three vessels take account of the special demands of the North Sea and Pentland Firth weather conditions.
- These ships, constructed in 2002, are designed with comfort in mind and offer a cruise standard sailing experience for the Orkney and Shetland islands.
