Dining on board
Enjoy a snack, breakfast, light lunch or evening meal whilst on board NorthLink Ferries ships to Orkney and Shetland in our dining facilities, with menus crafted around a selection of fine island produce, at reasonable prices.
Breakfast
Arriving in Lerwick or Aberdeen, there is no need to rush off the ship. While car drivers need to be up and ready to
disembark their vehicle on docking, it is possible for other passengers to stay on board and for drivers to return after unloading. Breakfast is served until 0900 and passengers can stay on board until 0930.
Evening meals
Departing from Aberdeen or Lerwick, you can choose between our excellent Island Fayre self-service restaurant which is open on departure or, during the main season, choose a later meal in our à la carte dining room. Tables in the à la carte restaurant are limited so we recommend that you book in advance. We offer meat, seafood and vegetarian options and, with advance notice, can cater for special dietary requirements.
Ladeberry and Lönebrack Restaurants
On the Aberdeen - Kirkwall - Lerwick routes our Ladeberry and Lönebrack restaurants can boast to:
-
be equal to any fine dining establishments.
-
Serve only the finest dishes using local ingredients where possible.
Can passengers with a table reservation for the à la carte restaurant please confirm their booking at the reception desk once onboard?
Self Service restaurants
We pride ourselves on the high quality of food served in the self service restaurants on all three NorthLink Ferries. A full range of hot and cold meals or snacks, as well as a tempting selection of children's meals are available.
Kirkwall, Hatston
For passengers joining the ship at Kirkwall, Hatston in Orkney, a range of snack items and hot drinks are available from the midships’ bar.
Open all day
Our spacious restaurant is open all day on the Scrabster to Stromness route, serving breakfast on the early sailings through to dinner on the evening crossing.
